Worldview
Based on James Sire's worldview questions in his book The Universe Next Door, this handout helps students apply Sire's questions to media (movies, books, etc). Each question is applied to J.F. Baldwin's four primary wordviews (Christian theism, atheism, pantheism, and polytheism) so that students will be able to discern the underlying worldview of any media source.
This resource cross-references James Sire's worldview questions with J.F. Baldwin's four basic worldviews so that students can see at a glance where 16 of the most prevalent "isms" fit into the schema and how each "ism" might answer each worldview question.
Why not bring the four basic worldviews onto the stage and allow them to speak for themselves? This humorous reader's theater (no memorization required) provides a light-hearted way to interact with and better comprehend the basic worldviews, which in turn enriches classroom discussion.
